Funding

Families can access the 30 hour or 15-hour government funding places plus a variety of alternative combinations such as wraparound care.

Funding: two, three and four year old funding is accepted up to a maximum of 30 hours (2YO £5.89 / 3/4YO £4.35 per hour)

  • A voluntary contribution of 50p per hour is requested for all 3 and 4 year old funded hours attended*

  • Any hours attended above this will be charged at our hourly rates based on age

*If you are in receipt of 3 or 4 year old funding, the current rate paid to us excludes food supplied or any of the extra activities/events we offer. In order to continue to provide the high quality setting we strive to maintain for your child, we ask that a voluntary payment of £0.50 per funded hour is paid by you e.g. an additional £7.50 per week if you are in receipt of the full 15 hours funding for Cygnets, plus the fees at our normal rate of 2YO £6.50 / 3/4YO £5.60 per hour for any additional hours over and above the 15 or 30 hours you have with us. The amount owed will be emailed to you on a monthly invoice at the beginning of each month. We fully support the introduction of the additional funding and have seen, over the last year, many families that have benefited hugely from greatly reduced childcare fees. Whilst we want to continue to provide this service for you, we are not charging the difference between the two rates, but if we do not receive these voluntary payments, we will have to reassess whether it is financially viable for Cygnets to continue to offer funded places. 100% of our income is put into making a safe, nurturing, fun and educational environment for your child.
